Peanut Butter Chocolate Grams

Do you have a rumbly in your tummy?

Its that hour in the afternoon - too early for dinner and too late to call it lunch meaning it must be snack-time. Which brings me this afternoons delectable bite - Peanut Butter Chocolate Grams. These beauties were conceived any other way a weird snack is I was craving peanut butter and chocolate...

It was freezing out.

When I say freezing I mean freezing we're talking sub zero temps with wind chills approaching the "hell freezes over" stage.

There was no way I was going bundle up, disappoint the pug by leaving, get into the car, and drive thru the frozen tundra to the store to purchase a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup (ok really probably more like three bags of those little Reese's Peanut Butter cups thingys because I drove all the way here right?). So I went to the pantry got out the jar of peanut butter and a half gone bag of chocolate chips. Thinking it would probably be best not to eat the peanut butter straight out of the jar with just a spoon I went back into the pantry. I dug into the back and found the dusty box of Graham Crackers left over from s'more season. And Bada Bing Boom thats how this snack was brought into being. I know that was probably the most exciting thing you read today! Aren't you glad your read my blog? Well you will be when you try these. They make a great quick snack or even a easy dessert. So dig out these staples from the pantry and get snack-time going the kids and you will be pleased I promise.

Here's how snacktime went down this afternoon...

The Process

Step 1

Take out 2 sheets of Graham Crackers (or any amount you like depending on either a. your hunger level or b. the size of your craving) and lay them down on a plate or any flat surface.

Step 2

Spread peanut butter over the crackers.

Step 3

Sprinkle on or press chocolate chips onto the peanut butter. I like press them in as it reminds me of putting candy on ginger bread houses at Christmas time. Sit down and enjoy this crunchy, peanutty and chocolatey treat.
